Overview / Përmbledhje

The Lawyer is responsible for delivering high-quality legal support across the organization, ensuring that business activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance requirements. The role covers corporate, commercial, labour, regulatory, contractual, dispute resolution, and data protection matters, and plays a key role in safeguarding the Company’s legal interests, mitigating legal risks, and supporting sustainable business operations through practical and proactive legal advice.

Responsibilities / Përgjegjësitë

 

Legal Advisory

  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to management and internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including corporate, commercial, and labour law matters.
  • Support strategic business decisions through legal risk assessment and interpretation of applicable laws.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.

Contract Management & Legal Documentation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Safeguard the Company’s interests by ensuring appropriate legal protections and risk allocation.
  • Monitor contract execution and advise on contractual risks and liabilities.

Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Albanian legislation and internal corporate policies.
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of internal policies and procedures from a legal perspective.
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant group corporate functions, including Group Legal, Finance, and Group HR, to ensure alignment with Group requirements and support the effective implementation of Group policies within the Company.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Review and support corporate governance documentation, including internal regulations, board or shareholder decisions, authorisations, corporate records, and related legal instruments.
  • Provide legal support during internal and external audits, inspections, or regulatory reviews.

Dispute Resolution & Claims Management

  • Manage and coordinate legal disputes, claims, and related matters, ensuring appropriate internal oversight and timely involvement of external legal counsel where required.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and control assignments entrusted to external law firms, including scope definition, progress monitoring, deliverable review, and alignment with the Company’s objectives.
  • Provide legal strategies aimed at risk mitigation and dispute avoidance.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel, notaries, public authorities, regulators, and other external stakeholders, while maintaining effective control over external legal support and related follow-up actions.

Risk Management & Legal Compliance

  • Identify and assess legal risks related to business activities and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure that legal considerations are integrated into operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support compliance programs and contribute to strengthening internal control systems.

Data Protection & Privacy

  • Provide legal advisory support on data protection obligations under applicable Albanian legislation, including Law No. 124/2024, and GDPR-aligned principles.
  • Review agreements and data processing arrangements to ensure appropriate privacy, confidentiality, processor, transfer, and data protection clauses with third parties.
  • Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of privacy notices, internal data protection policies, procedures, records of processing activities, and related compliance documentation.
  • Support responses to data subject requests, personal data breach assessments, and privacy-related audits or regulatory inquiries.

Training & Internal Legal Support

  • Provide legal guidance, training, and awareness sessions to employees on key legal topics.

Qualifications / Kualifikimet

Education & Professional Background

  • Master’s Degree in Law.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in corporate, commercial, labour, regulatory, or in-house legal roles.

Legal Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial and labour laws.
  • Experience in drafting contracts, policies, and legal advisory.
  • Strong understanding of data protection legislation, frameworks, compliance mechanisms, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of competition/antitrust law and anti-bribery regulations would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience in regulated industries, corporate governance, compliance, internal controls, or external counsel coordination is considered an advantage.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to management, contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Promotes a culture of compliance, integrity, and ethical conduct within the Company.

  • Supports continuous improvement of governance and compliance frameworks.
